Tyler Haake
Executive Chef
Tyler Haake is the Executive Chef at Indaco Atlanta, an elevated, modern Italian concept from the Indigo Road Hospitality Group. With over 15 years of restaurant experience, Haake brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for local and sustainable ingredients to Indaco’s kitchen. Haake started in the hospitality industry as a way to pay the bills during college, but he quickly fell in love with food and the camaraderie of the kitchen. Gaining experience working in professional kitchens across Atlanta, including Wrecking Bar Brewpub, No. 246, Dead End Drinks (formerly known as Ration and Dram), and Argosy, Haake has had a hand in shaping some of Atlanta’s most beloved menus.
At Wrecking Bar, he worked under James Beard Award-winning chef Terry Koval, who inspired a passion for food and leadership, and ultimately sparked Haake’s passion for using local and sustainable ingredients. At Argosy, Haake served as Executive Chef for eight years, where he cultivated a strong culture built on teamwork and creativity. Notably, Haake and his team became partners and Farmer Champions for Georgia Organics, a designation awarded to Georgia restaurants that source more than 50% of ingredients locally, with at least 5% being organic.
At Indaco, Chef Haake embraces the restaurant’s regional acclaim and creates modern and seasonal dishes using produce and meats from local farmers. His passion for sustainable and local ingredients has led him to build strong relationships within the Atlanta community; these relationships have further educated him on the ways farmers work to give back to the planet, thus creating a more sympathetic approach to his cooking style. He strives to inspire his team to be collaborative, compassionate, creative, and empathetic while working hard and enjoying doing so.
Haake lives an active lifestyle outside of the kitchen. In his free time, you can find him kayaking the Chattooga or Middle Ocoee Rivers, and teaching self-defense, jiu jitsu, and kid’s gymnastics at Level Up Movement in Clayton, GA, where he is a part-owner.
